GSMI in Lancaster, PA, is seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanical Estimator to join our team. You will turn complex drawings into accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and services, supporting on-site installation and fabrication efforts.

The role involves travel to client sites, interpretation of specs, and delivering clear quotations. You will collaborate with engineers and project teams to break down bids and help drive successful, on-time project execution.

Qualifications

• Requires at least two years of post-high school training and five years in a related field.
• Thorough knowledge of industrial maintenance, rigging, piping, safe access, structural steel, machine installation, and industrial ducting.
• Proficiency in sheet metal and steel fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and material specifications.
• Strong intermediate mathematical and computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with the confidence to present ideas.
• Interpersonal and decision-making abilities with collaboration and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Calculate precise costs for materials, labor, equipment, and services.
• Travel to diverse client locations, uncover project scopes firsthand, and build relationships.
• Analyze and interpret drawings and specifications to derive solutions.
• Produce clear, accurate quotations and communicate effectively with prospects and clients.
