Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an Industrial Mechanic to diagnose and repair mechanical equipment across our manufacturing environments. You will support preventative maintenance, install and troubleshoot systems, and work within SOPs to ensure safety and efficiency.

We require 3-5 years of Journeyman experience, no minimum education, and eligibility to work in the United States. This is a full-time position offering benefits and an ESOP employee-ownership structure.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Education: no minimum education requirements.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs and installs industrial mechanical equipment.
• Tests, repairs or installs mechanical units such as water pumps, fuel pumps, governors, distributors, carburetors, brakes and clutches.
• Replaces bearings, chains, sprockets and various other machine parts.
• Rebuilds pumps, cylinders and other equipment following SOPs.
• Fabricates repair parts when needed.
• Wear PPE as required (rain gear, protective clothing, respirators, safety gear).
• Maintain mobility and work in varied positions; climb, reach, bend, and balance.
• Other duties as assigned.
