Job summary

StandardAero in Maryville, TN is seeking an Industrial Mechanic II to join our team. You will contribute to aviation repair and maintenance by following diagrams, installing equipment, and supporting safety and quality in a hands-on role.

You will troubleshoot, align and fabricate parts, operate machine tools, and assist in preventative maintenance while collaborating with a skilled team. This role offers on-site work, training, and opportunities to grow within a global aerospace services

Responsibilities

• Read diagrams and schematics to determine work procedures.
• Install stationary machinery and equipment using hand and power tools per layout plans.
• Operate hoisting devices to position machinery during install and repair.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, and examine machinery for irregularities and malfunctions.
• Fabricate parts with machine tools and weld as needed during overhaul or setup.
• Perform routine maintenance including cleaning and lubrication of machinery.

Industrial Mechanic II

Location: Maryville, TN

StandardAero is looking for an Industrial Mechanic II to join our team at our Maryville, TN site

What You Will Do

• Read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Install stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery.
• Troubleshoot, inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
• Adjust machinery and repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
• Construct foundations for machinery.
• Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
• Make recommendations to management and engineering for improvement of preventative maintenance practices.
• Recommend replacement of equipment as required and assesses the condition of used equipment prior to purchase.
• Be responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have a minimum 1 year of experience as an industrial mechanic or equivalent trade
• Completion of an industrial mechanic apprenticeship program; or equivalent
• Must have a minimum 1 year of experience reading, understanding and interpreting blueprints
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with hazardous material handling and disposal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Related military experience with government equipment
• Industrial environment experience
• Proficient in computer skills (MS excel etc.)
