Job summary

Induction Professional in Youngstown, OH seeks an Industrial Mechanic and Technician to support manufacturing of highly engineered systems. You will perform grinding, welding, brazing, rigging, and fabrication while collaborating with engineering on improvements.

This hands-on role requires reading blueprints, operating overhead cranes and forklifts, and ensuring strict PPE usage on all tasks. You will manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and prepare items for shipment.

Qualifications

Industrial Mechanic and Technician (m/f/d) – Manufacturing

For immediate hire, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Mechanic and Technician with hands‑on experience in manufacturing specialized products. This position offers the opportunity to work on advanced equipment and contribute to the production, repair, and development of highly engineered systems.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execution of mechanical work including grinding, basic welding, brazing, burning, and heating
• Performing MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metals in combination with brazing techniques
• Operating overhead cranes and fork trucks, including safe handling and positioning of materials
• Applying basic rigging techniques for lifting and positioning components
• Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints, schematics, and detailed repair drawings
• Fabrication of components as well as assembly and support structures
• Disassembly and reassembly of product‑specific components, particularly in electric induction equipment or similar products
• Supporting design corrections and contributing to new product creation when required
• Preparing finished products for shipment
• Collaboration with the electro/mechanical engineering department to share progress, ideas, and improvements
• Supporting team members by answering technical questions, assisting with training, and sharing best practices
• Working on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic production environment

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING

• Hands‑on experience in manufacturing specialized products
• Strong skills in grinding, welding (MIG/TIG), brazing, burning, and heating processes
• Experience with overhead cranes and fork trucks (fork truck certification is a plus)
• Solid knowledge of rigging and material handling techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
• Experience in fabrication, assembly, and mechanical structures
• Background in working with electric induction equipment or similar products is a plus
• Understanding of design corrections and product development is beneficial
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, especially in collaboration with engineering departments
• Ability to adapt and expand current skills to complete projects from start to finish
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Thorough understanding of personal protective equipment (PPE) and strict adherence to safety standards
• High awareness that safety is paramount, including consistent use of PPE for activities such as grinding, burning, and welding
