Job summary

ContiTech in Lincoln, Nebraska seeks an Industrial Mechanic to ensure optimal equipment function. You will identify faults, adjust, repair, and communicate issues with maintenance and production staff. The role requires reading blueprints and performing preventive maintenance.

Expected to fabricate and weld basic sheet metal, prepare molds, and assist with related duties. Training opportunities and on-the-job advancement are available.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership, presentation, problem solving, and group dynamics skills.
• Strong industrial mechanic experience with trouble shooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand blueprints and written specifications.

Job Description

The Industrial Mechanic position helps ensure the optimal functioning of all equipment and machines in the facility. The Industrial Mechanic position includes identifying faulty equipment, making the required adjustments and repairing equipment and communicating issues with maintenance staff and production.

Responsibilities

• Must understand blueprints and written specifications.
• Performs PM’s on machinery.
• Must be willing to learn basic operation of equipment.
• Fabricates, including minor basic welding, installs and maintains sheet metal work such as guards.
• Perform any and all work necessary to prepare and maintain molds for production.
• Repairs & installs pumps.
• Lubricates all machinery.
• Preforms rigging, painting and basic carpentry as needed.
• Assist other maintenance personnel in the performance of their duties. Willing to accept assistance from other maintenance personnel. Willing to be trained on other job-related duties.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

• Candidate must have solid leadership, presentation, problem solving, and group dynamics skills.
• Strong industrial mechanic experience with trouble shooting skills.
• Ability to work off shifts as necessary.
• Must be lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.

Desired Education / Experience / Skills

• Technical or associate degree.
• 1 - 3 years of manufacturing experience.

Additional Information

• Starting Pay of $36.95 per hour with the ability to get an additional $2.50 per hour with on-the-job training for welding certifications.
• $1.00 per hour night shift premium pay
