Job summary

Menards in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to service and repair industrial equipment within our distribution center. You will perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, robotics, and related machinery, ensuring safe, reliable operation.

The role requires troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, installing new equipment, welding and fabrication as needed, and supporting building and grounds maintenance.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and grow in maintenance roles.
• Experience or schooling in maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic repair is beneficial.
• Familiarity with PLC schematics and electrical testing is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50–70 lbs and use hand tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment including conveyors, robotics, and related systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and repair as needed.
• Install new equipment and perform welding/metal fabrication for repairs.
• Maintain buildings and grounds at the distribution center.
• Operate safely and follow maintenance safety programs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure regular preventive maintenance is performed on all equipment.
• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
• Installation of new equipment.
• Welding and metal fabrication of parts in need of repair.
• Repairs and maintenance to buildings and grounds for the distribution center.

Skills / Requirements

• Mechanical experience with a willingness to continue to learn.
• Experience or schooling in the following areas are preferred but not limited to:
• Preventive maintenance
