Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our state-of-the-art food processing plant. You will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot equipment and machinery used in our processing operations, supporting high quality standards and efficient production.

The role requires hands-on experience or training in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC, and related systems, with a focus on minimizing downtime. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available; relocation assistance is not offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience and/or training in the listed areas.
• Experience working in maintenance roles in manufacturing or industrial settings preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery used in food processing.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, electrical issues, and mechanical failures.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Document maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and any recommendations.

Requirements

Application and/or resume must show a minimum of 6 months' experience and/or training in one of the following areas: Mechanical troubleshooting, Electrical/Electronic Troubleshooting, Hydraulic Troubleshooting, PLC Troubleshooting and Navigation, Welding/Fabrication, AC/DC Control Wiring, Motor Control, 3 Phase Wiring, Plumbing, Conveyor Maintenance, Hydraulics, Pneumatic systems.

Note: Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days. Rehires are limited to 3 times of employment.
