Job summary

The Garland Company, Inc. is seeking a versatile Maintenance Technician in Cleveland, OH to install, dismantle, maintain and adjust machinery and systems.

You will diagnose electrical problems, repair controls, and perform preventive maintenance to maximize production and quality. Responsibilities include reading schematics, calibrating equipment, coordinating with management on upgrades, and adhering to lockout/tagout procedures and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Training in electrical, hydraulics, HVAC or welding is a plus.
• Ability to read specifications, schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes mechanical and operational problems and initiates corrective action.
• Installs, repairs and calibrates electronic devices from schematics.
• Performs mechanical, electrical, plumbing duties and equipment maintenance.
• Conducts preventive maintenance and coordinates with management for upgrades.
• Ensures safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and OSHA compliance.
• Travels domestically and operates company vehicles as needed.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
