Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Evansville, WI.

The role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, drives, electrical systems, and automated equipment, using tools, blueprints, and diagnostics to ensure uptime and reliability. The technician will participate in continuous improvement and 5S housekeeping while supporting die maintenance and roll forming equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• ACT WorkKeys assessment at certified profile level.
• 6 months in industrial maintenance or equivalent training.
• Associate degree in industrial maintenance or technical school.
• 5+ years in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical.
• AutoCAD knowledge; able to read blueprints.
• PLCs/robotics diagnostics experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on drives, motors, belts, fluids, and filters.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using blueprints and manuals.
• Repair machines, equipment, or building systems with appropriate tools.
• Install/repair electrical apparatus and components of machinery.
• Support die maintenance and roll forming equipment; install/repair automated machinery.
• Operate machine tools to repair or fabricate parts; welding as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement and corrective actions.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards.
