Job summary

IKO Industries is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join their maintenance & engineering team at the IKO Fiberglass Mat Plant in Chester, South Carolina. This role involves maximizing plant performance through troubleshooting and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.

The successful candidate will work flexible, rotating shifts and must meet various physical requirements, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in dusty environments. Competitive compensation and health care benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in heavy‐industrial manufacturing or construction industry preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience preferred.
• Must be fluent in verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Safely maximize plant performance through effective troubleshooting.
• Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Work flexible, rotating production shifts of 8/10/12 hours.
