Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for the Nights shift at our Ohio facility. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, and driving root-cause solutions to maximize uptime and safety.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in industrial maintenance or related electrical/mechanical repair, strong problem-solving skills, and a safety-first mindset. This position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED with 3+ years in manufacturing/maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Experience following safety standards and operating with OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose, inspect, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems using schematics, blueprints, and diagnostic tools.
• Preventative Maintenance: Follow predictive and preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime, reduce waste, and improve machine performance.
• Electrical & Automated Systems: Install, inspect, and repair motors, wiring, switchboards, relays, and circuit breakers in compliance with safety standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Partner with production teams and engineers to identify root causes of equipment issues and implement long-term fixes.
• Safety & Quality: Inspect and maintain shop equipment in alignment with OSHA standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Facility Support: Support general facility upkeep, including HVAC, plumbing, and routine grounds maintenance as needed.

Are you a hands-on problem solver with strong curiosity and technical skill? Avery Dennison is looking for a Maintenance Technician to ensure maximum operational uptime for our facility and manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems, and drive root-cause solutions to keep our operations running safely and efficiently.

Shift: C Team, 7pm-7am, 2-2-3

Hiring rate: $32-$40 per hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose, inspect, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems using schematics, blueprints, and diagnostic tools.

High School Diploma/GED or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.

3+ years of industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical repair experience.

Strong analytical, mechanical, and logical troubleshooting aptitude.

Relevant technical certifications/licenses are preferred (or obtained within specified timeline).
