Job summary

Welch Packaging Group is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our production operations in Illinois. This hands-on role focuses on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and repairing production machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

You will work with maintenance personnel to run preventive maintenance, resolve breakdowns, and contribute to ongoing safety and housekeeping improvements in a fast-paced corrugated packaging

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Electrical certification preferred.
Corrugated packaging industry a plus.
Strong knowledge of mechanical machinery.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
Must be computer literate with Microsoft environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain company-owned machinery and equipment in proper working order.
On-call emergency repairs.
Lead breakdown control and prioritize repairs.
Improve machine safety and housekeeping.
Perform planned preventative maintenance with the team.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to identify root causes.
