Job summary

Stella-Jones is seeking a Maintenance 1 line mechanic to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently. The role requires hands-on experience with conveyors, motors, pumps and gearboxes, plus the ability to read mechanical drawings and manuals.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot issues across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and document work in the CMMS. A team-focused employee with flexible shifts is desired.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical experience on production equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends or overtime.
• Experience with conveyors, motors, pumps, or gearboxes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production line equipment.
• Perform Preventative and Corrective Maintenance as directed.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues.
• Use welding and fabrication tools to alter, repair and fabricate processing equipment.
• Document inspections, adjustments and lubrication in a timely manner.
• Work within the Maintenance repair records system (Emaint CMMS).
• Participate in the company safety program (LOTO, Hot Work, Confined Space).
• Collaborate with Operations to maintain a team environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
