Job summary

O'Neal Manufacturing Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician I in Kentucky to repair and maintain plant machinery, fixtures, and tools. The role includes assisting with machine installations and diagnosing system malfunctions to keep production running smoothly.

The technician will perform preventive maintenance, assemble and test electrical wiring and equipment, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory codes. Strong mechanical knowledge and PLC/VFD experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for repairs/diagnostics on processing equipment, CNC, material handling system, presses, lifting devices and sawing equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and self-starting attitude.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to workplace safety.
• Repair and preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment in an industrial environment.
• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, machinery, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and components with test equipment and hand tools.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Balance and align equipment; perform rigging and safety-related tasks.
• Fabricate mechanical parts from various metals as needed.
• Maintain electrical equipment to codes at country, state, and federal levels.
• Support safety and quality programs by following rules and processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
