Job summary

Gerdau North America is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep plant equipment and tools in optimal condition. You will diagnose, dismantle, repair, lubricate, and reassemble mechanical systems using drawings, manuals, and specs.

You will troubleshoot pumps, gear boxes, motors, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems and maintain accurate maintenance records while rotating through the facility. A strong emphasis on safety and teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 3–5 years heavy industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
• Advanced knowledge of motors, gearboxes, lubrication, welding, NFPA 70E and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust, repair, and perform maintenance per drawings and manuals.
• Inspect and service pumps, gear boxes, motors, cranes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain records of work performed and materials used.
• Operate mobile equipment and follow safety PPE rules.
