Job summary

Green Plains Inc. in Evansville, IN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our production maintenance team.

You will perform electrical-mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration of controls, and preventive maintenance to keep our plant running safely and efficiently. The role requires 3+ years of mechanical experience or a Maintenance Tech Degree, familiarity with industrial equipment, and welding skills (Arc/MIG/TIG).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical experience or a Maintenance Tech Degree.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Maintenance Tech Degree preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment operations and care.
• Experience with Arc MIG and TIG welding preferred.
• Mechanical background with bearing changes, pumps, conveyors, etc.
• Ability to read and update blueprints; understanding of discrete and analog systems.
• Pneumatic Experience & Hydraulic Experience strongly preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Arc welding, MIG and TIG welding as required.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps and automatic valves and grain system components.
• Perform preventative maintenance across plant areas.
• Calibrate and adjust controls on panels to regulate process variables.
• Determine malfunctioning units by observing instruments and warning signals.
• Inspect equipment to locate leaks, faults, or worn parts.
• Lubricate equipment and patrol units to ensure safe operation.
