Qualifications

• HS Diploma
• Ten (10) or more years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Fork truck and aerial lift equipment certification.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains fork trucks.
• Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate trouble.
• Dismantles devices to access and replace defective parts.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Installs wiring and electrical apparatus in buildings and machines.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces components.
• Performs preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and tools; keeps paperwork up to date.
