Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician A (1st Shift) to maximize uptime and reliability of manufacturing equipment in a hands-on environment.

You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, read mechanical drawings, and document work in CMMS.

The role requires strong safety discipline, LOTO, and collaboration with operations to drive reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong background in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
• Proven mechanical troubleshooting capabilities.
• Knowledge of safety standards and LOTO procedures.
• Experience with CMMS documentation and parts management.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance & Repair
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on a wide range of industrial equipment.
• Maintain mechanical systems including bearings, motors, gearboxes, belts, chains, and pulleys.
• Service conveyors, piping systems, and utility systems (steam, air, water).
• Troubleshooting and problem solving to restore safe operation quickly.
• Proactive maintenance execution and data-driven condition monitoring.
• Continuous improvement and participation in reliability projects.
• Mentor and collaborate with maintenance team members.
