Job summary

Total Staffing Solutions in Chicago is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain roto-molding machinery, perform preventive maintenance, and align with the monthly safety checklist. The role requires analyzing problems across electrical and mechanical systems and performing repairs on a range of equipment.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years of medium to heavy industrial maintenance experience; an AAS in Elect-Mechanical Maintenance is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electronics, blueprints and schematics required.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical and industrial maintenance.
• Understanding of 480V electrical systems and related safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and perform preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical and industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot and analyze problems on equipment including control panels, air compressors, ovens and HVAC units.
• Repair equipment from pneumatic tools to programmable controllers and microprocessors.
• Build or remodel equipment for other department areas.
• Prepare and maintain documentation (requisitions for equipment, etc.).
• Take on temporary assignments as needed to meet department requirements.
