Job summary

Universal Galvanizing Inc in Wright City, MO is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for 1st shift to perform diverse maintenance tasks on equipment, electrical and mechanical systems, and building facilities with safety and reliability at the fore. The ideal candidate has proven maintenance experience, the ability to work autonomously, and a willingness to overtime.

A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with benefits available after tenure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
• Fabrication and welding experience required.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.

Responsibilities

• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they meet health and safety standards
• Repair company equipment such as forklifts and kettles
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, repair panels)
• Complete repairs or other maintenance related issues
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Inspect alarm systems (fire protection) and schedule repairs
• Perform manual repairs (locks, windows)
• Undertake pest control activities such as spraying insecticide
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (landscaping, painting, carpentry)

We are currently offering a sign-on bonus of $1000!

We are looking for a thorough Industrial Maintenance Technician/Mechanic. You will perform maintenance & mechanic tasks of great variety such as forklift maintenance, kettle maintenance, painting, landscaping etc.

An Industrial Maintenance Technician/Mechanic is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.

Responsibilities

• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
• Repair company equipment such as forklifts and kettles.
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
• Ability to complete repairs or other maintenance related issues.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
• Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)

Skills

• Proven experience as maintenance technician
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems
• Fabrication and Welding experience a must
• Forklift repair and maintenance a plus
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
• High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired
