Job summary

Ingevity is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in Georgia. The role requires performing scheduled maintenance, responding to equipment issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to keep production running efficiently.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems, CMMS usage, and the ability to read technical drawings. A high school diploma or GED is required, with higher technical education preferred.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or related industrial maintenance role.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings; CMMS experience required.
• Basic mechanical knowledge; advanced skills preferred.
• Basic electrical knowledge; advanced electrical/control system knowledge preferred.
• H.S. Diploma or GED; higher degree preferred in related field.

Responsibilities

• Complete all maintenance activities assigned as scheduled.
• Respond to maintenance requests for limping / down equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to resolve equipment failures.
• Use CMMS to checkout spares, record job details, enter time, and close out work orders.
• Fabricate industrial parts as necessary using various tools and machinery.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area / shop space.
• Attend and participate in required training; train others in areas of proficiency.
• Assist RCFA investigations to improve processes.
• Support the plant's continuous improvement program.
• Operate powered mobile equipment as required.
• Follow all safety, environmental and company policies.
