Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical devices in operation and monitor for issues using test instruments.
• Dismantle equipment to inspect parts; repair or replace defective components.
• Inspect parts with calipers and micrometers; verify dimensional changes.
• Adjust and install parts; set up drills, grinders, and mills as required.
• Lubricate, clean, and maintain equipment per manufacturer guidance.
• Test devices and their performance after maintenance; document outcomes.
• Request required parts and tools for maintenance activities.
• Perform basic electrical/instrumentation tasks as needed and specified.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing within the maintenance team.

Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors systems and production machines and equipment. Observe mechanical equipment in operation and troubleshoot failures.

Maintenance

• Oversee mechanical devices while in operation look and listen for complications using accurate testing and measuring instruments.
• Dismantle equipment to examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Repair or replace defective parts.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments. Install special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Lubricate and clean parts.
• Setup and operate drill press, grinder, mill and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
• Start devices to test their performance.
• Request parts (stock and equipment) for purchase and implementation.
• Repair welding as needed
• Complete maintenance care obligations, according to manufacturer recommendations or as instructed.
• Perform basic electrical and instrumentation work, as required.

• Maintain clean and safe work area, use only food grade materials when making repairs
• Assist in maintaining equipment to Food Grade standards, meeting SQF requirements
