Job summary

Supreme Machined Products, a family-owned precision machining company in Spring Lake, MI, seeks an Industrial Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC equipment and automation systems. You’ll work with robotics, vision systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics, collaborating with Engineering and Production to boost equipment reliability and efficiency.

First shift training with potential rotation to off shift is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Experience repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair CNC machining equipment and manufacturing systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues including motors and controls.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Read electrical schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
• Fabricate and repair components using machine tools and welding.
• Support installation and troubleshooting of automation equipment and robotics.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to improve reliability, safety, and efficiency.
• Document repairs and participate in continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you'll play a critical role in supporting our manufacturing operations by:

• Troubleshooting and repairing CNC machining equipment and manufacturing systems.
• Performing preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues, including motors, sensors, relays, switches, drives, and controls.
• Maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Fabricating and repairing machine components using various machine tools and welding equipment as needed.
• Supporting the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation equipment and robotic systems.
• Assisting with industrial vision systems used for quality inspection and process improvement.
• Collaborating with Engineering and Production to identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency.
• Documenting repairs and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Experience repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical school, apprenticeship, or vocational training.
• Experience with CNC manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with ABB or FANUC robots.
• Some familiarity with industrial vision systems (Keyence, Cognex, National Instruments, or similar).
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience supporting automation equipment.
