Job summary

Sweet Candy Company is seeking a Journeyman Industrial Electrician to maintain and improve electrical systems powering production lines. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operation in a growing manufacturing facility.

The role emphasizes hands-on electrical and mechanical skills, with a focus on safety, GMP compliance, and continuous improvement in a food manufacturing environment. Strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical troubleshooting in industrial manufacturing
• Strong mechanical repair and manual machining background
• Experience with factory automation controls, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos and pneumatics
• Experience troubleshooting electrical control circuits, AC/DC and wiring
• Solid knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, power distribution and controls
• Mechanical repair experience with pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, valves and piping

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain industrial mechanical systems and production equipment
• Support safe, reliable operation of manufacturing lines through fast, effective troubleshooting
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical and automated systems
• Diagnose issues with motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics/pneumatics and servo motors
• Work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, sensors, and safety circuits
• Partner with production, maintenance, quality, sanitation, and leadership to minimize downtime and improve performance
• Follow all safety, GMP, food safety, and sanitation requirements

Shift: Thursday - Saturday & Every Other Wednesday 4am - 4:30pm

Wage Range: $32/r - $40/hr

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain industrial mechanical systems and production equipment

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• MANDATORY 2+ years of mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Strong background in mechanical repair and manual machining
• Experience in troubleshooting factory automation systems including knowledge of controls, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, and pneumatics
• Experience in troubleshooting electrical control circuits including knowledge of AC/DC and facility equipment wiring
• Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, power distribution, controls, and factory automation
• Mechanical experience in troubleshooting and repair of pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, valves, piping systems
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multicultural environment
• Clear communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Customer service and continuous improvement mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing or other regulated production environments
• Experience with preventive or predictive maintenance programs
