Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a company based in Rossville, TN. This role covers electrical installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of industrial manufacturing equipment and advanced automation systems, coordinating with Engineering, Controls and Robotics to ensure safe, efficient project completion.

Working Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with pay between $38.00 and $45.00 per hour depending on

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as an E&I Technician on Industrial Control Systems.
• Experience designing, installing, and troubleshooting safety circuits.
• Must possess a valid Class D Drivers License and a reliable vehicle.
• Working knowledge of PLC control systems with basic PLC programming.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and MCC/control wiring knowledge.
• Practical experience with Industrial Control Panels and NEC basics.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical equipment including PLCs, HMIs, VDFs, servo systems and robotics.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Controls, and Robotics teams for commissioning and startup of new installations.
• Assist design, procurement, building and commissioning of automation cabinets and structures.
• Install and repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, and lighting.
• Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation devices.
• Perform advanced diagnostics on automation equipment, motors, and VFDs.
• Install, test switchgear, transformers, and control systems components.
• Read blueprints and schematics to ensure design conformance.
• Enforce safety standards and NEC code requirements.
• Communicate clearly with internal and external teams to keep projects on time and within budget.

INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Automation Personnel Services is looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a company based in Rossville, TN. This Industrial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the electrical installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of industrial manufacturing equipment and advanced automation systems. Working closely with our Engineering, Controls, and Robotics teams, you will ensure all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant electrical codes and standards.

Pay Rate

$38.00– $45.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Equipment Setup: Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and electric equipment, including PLC’s, HMIs, VDFs, Servo systems, and Robotics.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with the Engineering, Controls, and Robotics teams to facilitate the seamless commissioning and startup of new installations.
• Cabinet & Structure Building: Assist in the design, component procurement, building and commissioning of automation
• Infrastructure Wiring: Install and repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting, fixtures, and other essential electrical components.
• Instrumentation Management: Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation devices, including flow meters, level sensors, load cells, pressure transmitters (PTs), RTDs, and analytical instrumentation.
• Advanced Troubleshooting: Perform advanced diagnostics on automation equipment, motors, and VDFs. Test electrical/electronic equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
• Power Distribution: Install, repair, and test switchgear, transformers, load reactors, industrial batteries, and hydraulic/pneumatic control systems.
• Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to ensure execution matches design specifications.
• Safety & Code Enforcement: Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards or defects. Follow and enforce WorkSafe regulations, company-mandated health and safety standards, city/provincial bylaws, and the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Project Communication: Maintain clear, professional, and direct communication with internal employees, supervisors, and external contractors too ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Industrial Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Requirements

• Licensure: Must be a Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an E&I Technician working directly on Industrial Control Systems.
• Specialized Experience: Proven experience designing, installing, and troubleshooting safety circuits.
• Transit: Must possess a valid Class D Drivers License and a reliable personal vehicle.
• Working knowledge of PLC control systems with basics PLC programming skills.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and a deep understanding of MCC and control wiring (VDFs, Servos, Contactors)
• Practical experience working with Industrial Control Panels.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical standards and code requirements.
• Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft office.
• Drive: Self-motivated to solve complex problems, understand how things work, and actively expand your career in industrial automation.
