Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in Plainfield, IN is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair distribution center equipment and building infrastructure.

You will troubleshoot and repair conveyors, stretch wrappers, carton erectors, perform preventive maintenance, assist with installs, and manage parts and materials while following safety programs. The role requires reading blueprints and operating industrial equipment, with a 5:00 AM–1:30 PM shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to work all shifts and required overtime with short notice.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment such as conveyors, stretch wrappers, and carton erectors.
• Perform general and preventive maintenance of building, grounds, office, and warehouse equipment including cleaning and lubricating machinery.
• Assist with equipment installs, completing work orders, determining / ordering materials and parts needed for repairs, and maintaining clean work areas.
• Participate in plant safety / accident prevention programs and follow all safe work practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Maintains and repairs distribution center equipment and building

SHIFT SCHEDULE: 5:00AM - 1:30PM, Monday - Friday

• In your activities you will troubleshoot and repair facility equipment such as conveyors, stretch wrappers, and carton erectors.

• You will perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Required skills to have for the success of this role

• You have a strong mechanical and problem-solving aptitude along with good communication skills.
• You have a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in an industrial setting.
• You have knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
• You can read and understand blueprints, drawings, sketches, layouts, and equipment manuals.
• You are experienced with electrical systems (3 phase 480v) and motor controls.
• You have experience with HVAC, plumbing and fire control systems.
• You can climb stairs and ladders and are able to work from heights up to 45 feet.
• You can operate powered industrial equipment such as: forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
• You can work in a refrigerated environment for extended periods of time and occasionally in extreme cold.

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to work all shifts and required overtime with short notice.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds without assistance.

Pay Range

$23/hr to $31/hr

The base pay range for this position is: $49,500 - $68,057.

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
