Job summary

ASAHI BEER USA / OCTOPI BREWING is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician for our Madison, WI facility. You will service production machinery, building systems, and packaging lines, with an emphasis on preventative maintenance and quick problem solving.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of maintenance and machine experience.
• Thorough understanding of maintenance systems.
• Able to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods; lift up to 75 lbs, push up to 175 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and organization in a fast-paced environment.
• Low/high voltage electrical experience and sanitary welding are nice-to-haves.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment and systems and take corrective action.
• Plan and execute preventative maintenance on all machines.
• Diagnose problems using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment.
• Maintain clear communication with management, production, and brewery teams.
• Participate in after-hours emergency response as needed.

Founded in 2014 as a Wisconsin contract brewery, Octopi Brewing has spent over a decade brewing and packaging beer, seltzers, RTDs, and sodas for clients nationwide. In 2024, Asahi — brewers of Asahi Super Dry — acquired Octopi, making us the U.S. production home of Super Dry. Today, our 250+ person team of beverage industry pros keeps that same local, quality-first spirit alive at a state-of-the-art facility. Our Maintenance team keeps every piece of equipment across our brewery and packaging lines running — so production never has to stop for long.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Things break. When they do, we need an Industrial Maintenance Technician who can figure out why, fix it fast, and help us prevent it from happening again — across everything from production machinery to the building itself.

• Strong attention to detail and organization, and the ability to function well in a fast‑paced environment

Nice-to-haves:

• Low and high voltage electrical experience
• Sanitary welding experience

PAY BY SHIFT

Base rate for this role is $30.00/hr. Shifts outside of 1st shift include an additional shift differential on top of that base — never a lower starting rate, just added pay for the shift.

• 1st Shift — $30.00/hr (base rate)
• 2nd Shift — $30.00/hr base + $3.00/hr shift differential = $33.00/hr
• 3rd Shift — $30.00/hr base + $4.00/hr shift differential = $34.00/hr
• Weekend Day — $30.00/hr base + $5.75/hr shift differential = $35.75/hr
• Weekend Night — $30.00/hr base + $7.75/hr shift differential = $37.75/hr
