Job summary

Asahi Beer USA Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for our Madison, WI facility. You will fix production machinery and building systems, perform preventative maintenance, and support safety and reliability across the brewery and packaging lines.

The role offers real variety across mechanical, electrical, and fabrication tasks, with opportunities to develop skills from sanitary welding to precision testing instruments. Full-time, on-site with shift-based pay.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of maintenance and machine experience.
• Strong understanding of maintenance systems.
• Able to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods, lift up to 75 lbs, and push up to 175 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment and take corrective action when something's off.
• Plan and execute preventative maintenance on all machines.
• Diagnose problems using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment.
• Maintain clear communication with management, production, and brewery teams on current and future projects.
• Participate in after-hours emergency response as needed.

Founded in 2014 as a Wisconsin contract brewery, Octopi Brewing has spent over a decade brewing and packaging beer, seltzers, RTDs, and sodas for clients nationwide. In 2024, Asahi — brewers of Asahi Super Dry — acquired Octopi, making us the U.S. production home of Super Dry. Today, our 250+ person team of beverage industry pros keeps that same local, quality-first spirit alive at a state-of-the-art facility. THE OPPORTUNITY

Things break. When they do, we need an Industrial Maintenance Technician who can figure out why, fix it fast, and help us prevent it from happening again — across everything from production machinery to the building itself.

What You'll Do

• Strong attention to detail and organization, and the ability to function well in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-haves

• Low and high voltage electrical experience
• Sanitary welding experience

Full-time, non-exempt

PAY BY SHIFT

Base rate for this role is $30.00/hr. Shifts outside of 1st shift include an additional shift differential on top of that base — never a lower starting rate, just added pay for the shift.

• 1st Shift — $30.00/hr (base rate)
• 2nd Shift — $30.00/hr base + $3.00/hr shift differential = $33.00/hr
• 3rd Shift — $30.00/hr base + $4.00/hr shift differential = $34.00/hr
• Weekend Day — $30.00/hr base + $5.75/hr shift differential = $35.75/hr
• Weekend Night — $30.00/hr base + $7.75/hr shift differential = $37.75/hr
