Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Dubuque, IA for Monday-Friday shifts with 6:30AM-3:00 PM, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM, or 10:00 PM-7:00 AM. On-call weekends are scheduled a year in advance with pay for carrying the phone; on call-in you earn 4 hours straight time, with overtime rules on weekends.

Qualifications include 3+ years in industrial maintenance (electrical and mechanical), experience with automation/controls (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley preferred), ability to read

• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance with electrical and mechanical focus.
• Experience with automation and controls, preferably Rockwell/Allen- Bradley systems.
• Proficiency reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks like standing, walking, climbing and crawling.
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and around hazardous materials.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.

You may not be called in, but you'll earn four hours of pay just for carrying the phone. If you are called in you automatically receive 4 hours of straight time pay even if the job only takes 30 minutes. For longer call ins you receive time and a half on Saturdays, or double time on Sundays.

Requirements For Our Industrial Maintenance Technician Role

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with electrical and mechanical
• Experience with industrial automation and controls, preferably Rockwell/Allen- Bradley systems
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Physically able to lift up to 50 and perform tasks like standing, walking, climbing, and crawling

• Skilled in reading schematics and using tools and equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in the electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance field
• Experience in food processing or manufacturing environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and lead small projects or teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with effective time-management skills
