Job summary

Magneti Marelli Parts & Services in Bowling Green, OH is seeking 2nd shift Maintenance Technicians to support, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair equipment to meet production schedules.

You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and work in an injection molding environment with emphasis on robotics, electrical systems and PLCs. Reading technical documents and performing root-cause analysis are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

  • Two years of formal education beyond high school in a technical field and 1–3 years of on-the-job experience in technical trades, or an Associates Degree in a technical field such as Robotics or Electronics.
  • Ability to work in a multi-skilled environment including the potential to perform work across other skilled trades’ crafts.
  • Demonstrated desire and ability to learn including the ability to train others.
  • Leadership ability in project management and continuous improvement activities.
  • Thoroughness and orderliness in performing work assignments.
  • Ability to utilize tools, follow directions, maintain tempo, recognize quality, problem solve, exhibit teamwork, work safely, and work overtime as required.
  • May be required to qualify for forklift certification and operate lift devices as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Work safe and competently perform inspections, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in an injection molding manufacturing assembly environment.
  • Emphasis on Robotics/Electrical/PLC.
  • Ability to read, understand, and carry out work based on job work orders, standard jobs, sketches, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and other documents related to the Engineering specifications.
  • Participate in root cause, defect elimination, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Inspect and keep tools and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Execute project schedules assigned by supervision.
  • Establish and maintain planned maintenance activities.
  • Share knowledge and train others.
  • Perform job duties with minimal supervision.
  • Perform physical and mental activities as required, including lifting, climbing, and operation of genie booms, fork trucks, and lifting devices as needed.
  • Use precision measuring instruments.
  • Comply with quality and environmental standards procedures and instructions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge of Injection Molding Tool & Die maintenance is a plus

About the Position:

We are looking for 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm) Maintenance Technicians to support, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair all necessary equipment and tooling to ensure manufacturing meets all customer schedules. The Skilled Trades Technician will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and this position is based at our Bowling Green, Ohio location.

Your Responsibilities will be:

What Qualifications you will bring:
  • A minimum of two years formal education beyond high school in a technical field and one to three years of on-the-job experience in technical trades, or Associates Degree in a technical field such as Robotics or Electronics that provided hands-on learning experience, or five years proven experience in a technical field.
  • Must have the ability to work in a multi-skilled environment including the potential to perform work across other skilled trades’ crafts.
  • A demonstrated desire and ability to learn including the ability to train others is required.
  • Must possess leadership ability in both project management and continuous improvement activities.
  • Must demonstrate thoroughness and orderliness in performing work assignments.
  • Requires ability to utilize tools, follow directions, maintain tempo, recognize quality, problem solve, exhibit teamwork, use interpersonal skills, work safely, and work overtime as required.
  • May be required to qualify for forklift certification and operate lift devices as necessary.
Other skills that we would welcome:
  • Knowledge of Injection Molding Tool & Die maintenance is a plus
