Job summary

George's Inc is seeking an Occupational Maintenance Technician to repair and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment in the facility. The role includes performing preventative maintenance on all equipment in the assigned area and working with hand tools, powered tools, lifts, welding/cutting tools, fabrication tools, and related equipment.

This position requires reading manuals, blueprints and schematics, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience reading technical manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to use common hand, power and industrial tools.
• Welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance in assigned area.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment used in the facility.
• Perform repairs and equipment installation/removal in an efficient manner.
• Maintain good housekeeping at workstations and work areas.
• Respond to plant emergencies including Haz-Mat incidents and equipment failures.
• Lock out / tag out certification and compliance tasks.
• Complete daily maintenance paperwork for work orders and checklists.
• Handle special projects as assigned by maintenance supervisor or manager.
