Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks a Supervisor – Maintenance for our mill operations in Michigan. You will plan, schedule and direct daily maintenance for multi-skill mechanics and contractors to support production.

Work closely with engineering on capital projects, supervise staff, ensure safety, and maintain documentation. The role requires mechanical aptitude, a strong safety mindset, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• BSME / BSMET or equivalent
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Technical training / experience with industrial maintenance
• Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule work orders for maintenance.
• Supervise maintenance personnel in their area.
• Work with engineering to ensure capital projects address maintenance concerns.
• Direct work to meet maintenance requirements while coordinating with production schedules to minimize downtime and cost.
• Check completed work before releasing equipment to Operations and ensure documentation is complete.
• Participate in continuous improvement of preventative maintenance and documentation.
• Issue direct and storeroom requisitions for repair parts & supplies needed for electrical maintenance.
• Administer company policy, enforce rules and regulations, and maintain discipline (Union-Management).
• Participate in plant safety, fire prevention, housekeeping, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
