Job summary

Sonoco is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Reliability Tech in West Chester, OH to perform proactive maintenance tasks ensuring high-quality, timely shipping of products. The role reports to the Plant Engineer and requires hands-on work with manufacturing equipment, PLC controls, and utility systems.

Qualifications include industrial experience or military background, PLC and motor control knowledge, and ability to work off-shift with potential overtime, weekends, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial environment or military experience.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial and motor controls preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work off-shift with overtime including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining auxiliary equipment as required by production.
• Maintaining and repairing utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the Plant Engineer.
• Assisting/training other maintenance personnel with repairs, PMs, and rebuilds.
• Collaborating closely with other departments and teams for proactive problem resolutions.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Manage small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment.
• Performing all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.

Position: Industrial Maintenance Reliability Tech
Location: West Chester, OH
Wage: $31.80 - $44.15 (depending on experience)
Shift: 2nd ($0.75 shift differential for 2nd)

What you’ll be doing:

• Comfortable with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending and twisting;lifting upto 50lbs.
• Working independently and managing multiple tasks in anoff-shiftposition with rotating shifts that will require overtime including weekends.
