Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Planner to schedule preventive maintenance, manage work orders, and coordinate with maintenance teams across facilities in Colorado.

You will track parts, labor, and timelines, ensuring efficient operation and minimal downtime. The role requires a background in mechanical maintenance, strong organization and communication skills, and experience with SAP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade certification is a plus.
• Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage preventive maintenance (PM); coordinate parts, materials, labor scheduling, and PM completion.
• Organize and plan work orders and project schedules for technicians and contractors.
• Collaborate with operations, sanitation, and maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates for maintenance, repairs, and projects.
• Support parts room coordinator; back up in their absence and track lead times.
• Use SAP for tracking, reporting, and data entry.
• Apply environmental and maintenance program knowledge.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow company policies.
• Adhere to attendance and operating rules; perform other duties as needed.
• Possess or obtain licenses for boilers, refrigeration components, and related equipment.

Bringing Home the Dough

Industrial Maintenance Planners play a critical role in ensuring optimal efficiency through scheduling and managing preventive maintenance (PM), work orders, and maintenance projects. They must possess strong knowledge of mechanical parts and preventive maintenance, while demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills. The Industrial Maintenance Planner will partner with internal and external teams, working cross-functionally to optimize workflows and minimize downtime.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

• Manage preventive maintenance (PM). Including, but not limited to, coordinating parts and materials, labor scheduling, wrench-time tracking, and monitoring PM completion
• Organize and plan work orders and project schedules for maintenance technicians and outside contractors
• Work cross-functionally with operations, sanitation, and maintenance teams to optimize workflows and minimize downtime
• Assist in preparing cost estimates for maintenance, repairs, and projects
• Support parts room coordinator, acting as backup in their absence, helping track outstanding parts orders, ensuring lead times are followed, communicated, updated, and escalated accordingly
• Use SAP software for tracking, reporting, and general data entry
• Practice learned knowledge of environmental and maintenance programs
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
• Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment

Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in maintenance planning, work order scheduling, inventory management, manufacturing, mechanical, or related field
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Salary Range- 78194.5 - 86425.5
