Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Madison, GA is seeking a Maintenance Millwright to keep critical equipment running safely and reliably. The ideal candidate demonstrates ownership, reliability, and collaboration in a manufacturing environment.

This role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and pay of $30.00–$36.00 per hour, with variable pay eligibility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and pumps, while upholding safety, housekeeping, and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and pumps.
• Experience installing, aligning, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing industrial equipment.
• Experience with fabrication, welding, and cutting torch.
• Experience operating hoisting and lifting devices.
• Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, and gearboxes.
• Experience with precision alignment of motors and couplings.
• Experience reading blueprints, technical drawings, and/or hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strict adherence to all safety, environmental, and PPE requirements while working in an industrial manufacturing environment.

• Work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments.
• Demonstrate leadership skills; be a self-starter requiring little or no supervision and show the ability and willingness to train others.

Our Georgia-Pacific Madison, GA facility is now hiring immediately a qualified candidate who demonstrates strong ownership, reliability, and collaboration in a manufacturing environment to join our team as a Maintenance Millwright. We are offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

For this role, we anticipate paying $30.00 – $36.00 per hour. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience troubleshooting conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and pumps

What Will Put You Ahead

• A minimum of 2 years of mechanical and technical training
• A minimum of 6 months experience working in a wood mill environment
