Job summary

Standard Locknut LLC in Westfield, Indiana is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This role supports efficiency, quality, and uptime by performing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machines.

You will work with the Tool Room under the Maintenance Manager, using precision instruments and safety procedures to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Reads part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics and troubleshooting guides.
• Familiar with Okuma, Fuji, Haas, Mori Seiki, and Mazak CNC machinery.
• Experience with CNC machine controls (FANUC, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Haas, and Okuma).
• Expertise in industrial mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of CNC machine design and operation.
• Proficiency with electrical test equipment up to 480 V AC.
• Supports a Positive and Open work culture by engaging with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors and production machines per manuals and engineering specs.
• Identify and address mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuity.
• Observe operation and use measuring instruments to locate problems.
• Dismantle devices to remove defective parts using hoists and hand/power tools.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers to determine dimensional changes.
• Adjust components using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs and straightedges.
• Communicate maintenance techniques to production workers to reduce downtime.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment.
• Document maintenance actions and outcomes and support continuous improvement.
• Maintain inventories by tracking stock levels and expediting orders.
