MAC Incorporated in Battle Creek, MI is hiring 3 Industrial Maintenance Mechanics for our large union manufacturing plant. You will train on day shift and bid on 2nd or 3rd shift, with overtime and benefits starting Day 1.

Journeyman Millwright Card preferred for top rate $39/hour; strong preference for candidates from true industrial environments. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, electrical/hydraulic diagnostics, PLC control work, and reading schematics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience strongly preferred.
• Must come from a true industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Strong preference for automotive, metalworking, machining, stamping, forging, heavy manufacturing, or similar operations.
• Prior experience outside manufacturing (food/bev/pharma/warehouse) will not fit.
• Must have a stable work history with longevity.
• Shift flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift; union seniority may change shifts.
• Journeyman Millwright Card preferred and required for top rate.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Industrial electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.
• Preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Root cause diagnosis.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and documentation.
• Experience using electrical meters and power/tools.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain industrial production machinery and facility equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and unscheduled breakdowns.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Diagnose failures and perform root-cause troubleshooting.
• Repair or replace defective components and test machinery.
• Perform basic machinist duties and modifications when required.
• Read and interpret manuals, work orders, schematics, and documents.
• Use meters and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot.
• Complete maintenance work orders and documentation.
• Support equipment upgrades and facility improvements.
• Follow MIOSHA safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
