Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is hiring a maintenance technician to diagnose and repair a wide range of plant equipment in a dairy environment. You will handle pumps, motors, valves, gears, and PLC-based controls, while performing preventative maintenance and complex welding tasks to meet industry standards.

The role requires reading safety manuals, working with CMMS, and willingness to work weekends or holidays as needed. Experience in HVAC and electrical systems is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.
• Ability to read/write English and perform basic math for measurements.
• Experience with welding, electrical or mechanical systems is a plus.
• Able to work shifts and weekends as needed in a dairy plant.
• Use CMMS to process work orders and manage parts inventory.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Repair/rebuild plant equipment including pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves.
• Repair/rebuild ammonia system equipment; handle related safety procedures.
• Weld stainless steel and other metals to 3A standards for dairy industry.
• Perform preventive maintenance and operate tools and equipment.
