Job summary

Connectly Recruiting is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for a large, on-site food manufacturing plant in Prattville, Alabama. The role emphasizes strong electrical and mechanical skills within a highly automated environment and rotating shifts including nights.

You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated production equipment, participate in safety and 5S programs, and help install and test new capital equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; AAS or technical cert preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing maintenance.
• Multi-craft skills on electrical and mechanical.
• Able to troubleshoot alone and get to root cause.
• Willing to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 plant, including nights.
• Good communicator who can coach others.
• Keeps safety standards even when the pressure is on.
• Open to change and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Handle preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated production equipment, both electrical and mechanical
• Complete assigned PMs on time and to standard
• Find root causes using structured problem solving such as 5 Whys
• Coach operators on basic equipment care and machine setup
• Help install, commission, and test new equipment on capital projects
• Document work orders and completions in the plant’s ERP system
• Take part in shift start meetings, short interval control, and weekly asset care reviews
• Contribute to line improvement projects
• Hold to safety, environmental, and food safety rules every shift
• Keep work areas clean and organized under 5S

A large multinational food company has a brand new, highly automated plant in central Alabama and is growing its maintenance team across several shifts.
