Job summary

Ridgemont Resources, Inc. seeks a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for our new, highly automated food manufacturing plant in Prattville, Alabama. This on-site role supports electrical and mechanical maintenance across rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation.

You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated production equipment, troubleshoot to root cause, and coach operators on equipment care. A safety-focused, continuous improvement mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing maintenance.
• Multi-craft skills across electrical and mechanical domains.
• Willingness to rotate shifts in a 24/7 plant, including nights.
• Strong communicator who can coach others.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated equipment.
• Complete PMs on time and to standard.
• Troubleshoot to root cause using structured methods.
• Coach operators on equipment care and setup.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment.
• Document work orders in ERP.
• Participate in shift start meetings and asset care reviews.
• Contribute to line improvement projects.
• Enforce safety, environmental, and food safety rules.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas per 5S.

Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (Multiple Openings) – Food Manufacturing

Location: Prattville, AL (On-site)

Pay: $41.50/hour + bonus, plus overnight shift differential

Overview

A large multinational food company has a brand new, highly automated plant in central Alabama and is growing its maintenance team across several shifts. Technicians coming in now get to learn modern systems from the start at an operation that is well funded and built for the long haul. The company wants strong electrical and mechanical techs who own their work and like being part of a team.

What the Job Involves

• Handle preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated production equipment, both electrical and mechanical
• Complete assigned PMs on time and to standard
• Find root causes using structured problem solving such as 5 Whys
• Coach operators on basic equipment care and machine setup
• Help install, commission, and test new equipment on capital projects
• Document work orders and completions in the plant’s ERP system
• Take part in shift start meetings, short interval control, and weekly asset care reviews
• Contribute to line improvement projects
• Hold to safety, environmental, and food safety rules every shift
• Keep work areas clean and organized under 5S

What They Need

• High school diploma or GED; AAS, apprenticeship, or technical certification preferred
• 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing maintenance
• Multi-craft skills on both the electrical and mechanical side
• Able to troubleshoot alone and get to root cause
• Willing to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 plant, including nights
