Zen-Noh Grain Corporation is a U.S. subsidiary of ZEN-NOH, the largest agricultural cooperative association in Japan. Job Overview
This position is responsible for maintaining and constructing industrial machinery. Key duties include installing, upgrading, fabricating machinery and equipment, reading layout plans, blueprints and other drawings, and ensuring equipment safety and operational reliability.
Responsibilities
- Fully participate in the company Safety Program and attend daily pre‑shift meetings.
- Perform all duties in compliance with OSHA, company safety and environmental regulations (ISO where applicable). Wear appropriate PPE for each task.
- Conduct daily walk‑throughs of the facility, inspect and prioritize work based on facility needs and supervisor input.
- Execute routine inspections and preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and company policy to maximize equipment life and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, repair or replace defective parts, and seek assistance as needed.
- Maintain inventory of parts and tools required for routine maintenance tasks.
- Apply industry standards and research findings to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Complete maintenance documentation accurately, promptly and legibly.
- Operate rolling stock equipment (where applicable).
- Perform highly skilled maintenance tasks such as fabrication, cutting, blueprint reading and other specialized work (where applicable).
- Carry out general housekeeping and cleanup of work areas, including sweeping, shoveling, washing and painting (where applicable).
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to meet company auto insurance requirements.
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of mechanical maintenance, machinery and tools, including design, use, repair and maintenance.
- General knowledge of a wide range of tools.
- Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with personnel at all levels.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- Ability to read and understand measurements and technical documentation.
- Ability to follow directions and use logical reasoning to interpret oral and written instructions and recommend alternative solutions.
- Ability to complete documentation requirements accurately and promptly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to use appropriate tools for assigned tasks.
- Strong focus on customer service, both internal and external.
Physical Demands & Requirements
- Lift, push, pull 45lbs occasionally.
- Climb, crawl, stoop, kneel and squat occasionally.
- Use manual dexterity (grasp, manipulate and assemble small objects). Demonstrate arm/hand steadiness and multi‑limb coordination.
- Climb stairs and ladders to significant heights.
- Work around water and in wet/humid or dry/arid conditions.
- Grasp and reach frequently; use near, far and peripheral vision and depth perception.
- Communicate verbally, in person and over two‑way radio.
- Work outdoors in extreme weather; work in confined spaces; work in high dust environments.
- Wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Work on call as needed.
- Work rotating 12‑hour shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours.
- Travel 5–20% of the time for off‑site training or work at alternate locations.
Compensation
Base pay range: $25.75 – $39.50 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on location, job knowledge, skills and experience.
