H.B. Fuller is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in Chagrin Falls, OH (1st shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Mon–Fri with occasional overtime).

The role supports preventive maintenance, partners with engineers on projects, and ensures safe, reliable operation of manufacturing equipment in a growing plant. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, equipment installation, documentation, and training team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Experience with PLC and HMI troubleshooting.
• Ability to operate forklifts, lifts, and hoists; ability to work at heights.
• Experience reading P&IDs and technical drawings.
• OSHA 10‑Hour General Industry Training preferred.
• Pipefitting experience and cross-functional collaboration experience welcome.

Position Overview

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is part of the Maintenance Team and reports to the Production Manager. This role supports the plant’s maintenance program by performing routine preventative maintenance, partnering with engineers on project implementation, and ensuring equipment remains in safe and reliable operating condition. The facility produces industrial roofing urethane, asphalt products, and adhesive tape, and the maintenance team will join during a period of rapid growth with opportunities to collaborate across a diverse workforce.

Primary Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules, work instructions, and high‑hazard task procedures
• Maintain and enhance preventative maintenance programs
• Complete documentation for repairs, purchases, audits, and compliance activities
• Perform electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and utilities maintenance
• Conduct maintenance on production equipment involving chemicals and adhesives
• Diagnose equipment issues and recommend corrective actions
• Install new machinery and support commissioning processes
• Train team members in basic maintenance practices

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years technical training and maintenance experience
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills (pumps, mixers, general machinery)
• Experience with PLC and HMI troubleshooting
• Ability to operate forklifts, lifts, and hoists; ability to work at heights

Preferred Requirements

• Ability to read P&IDs and technical drawings
• OSHA 10‑Hour General Industry Training
• Pipefitting experience
• Experience working cross‑functionally with multiple departments

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $32.00 - $36.00+ per hour based on experience.
