Anderson Erickson Dairy Company in Des Moines, Iowa is seeking Journeymen Maintenance Machinery Mechanics for the 2nd shift (3pm to 11:30pm) with 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience. The team supports 24/7 operations in a unionized facility, with opportunities to bid first-shift jobs under the CBA.

Candidates must possess electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, welding and packaging machinery skills, plus ability to read schematics, SOPs and GMP. Safety training is required.

Qualifications

• Electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and welding skills required.
• Experience with packaging machinery, plastics molding and production equipment a plus.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals and SOPs; knowledge of GMP and OSHA standards.
• Must pass safety trainings and be able to work 2nd shift and weekends as needed.

Anderson Erickson Dairy is the largest private, continuously owned family dairy in the United States.

Anderson Erickson Dairy is a premier food and beverage manufacturing facility in Des Moines, Iowa. We provide the highest quality dairy products in the industry to our customers in Iowa, Missouri, Illinois and Kanas.

Our maintenance team provides 24/7 and 365 days a year, skilled maintenance services to our production and cooler distribution teams. Our Company is unionized. We are currently looking for skilled and qualified candidates to join our team on 2nd Shift (3pm to 11:30pm) and every other weekend as required. In the event of first shift job opportunities, eligible employees will be able to bid in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement (CBA).

Our world class and highly experienced maintenance department is seeking qualified Journeymen Maintenance Machinery Mechanic(s) with 4+ years experience with the following skills and experience:

• Electrical (required)
• Plumbing/ Pipefitting
• Hydraulics (required)
• Pneumatics (required)
• Conveyor Systems
• Welding (MIG/ TIG/ ARC)
• Experience with Packaging Machinery
• Plastics Molding (Blow Molding Preferred)
• Production Filling (Liquid) Equipment
• Basic Refrigeration
• PLC/ Frequency Drives
• Production Container Labeling Equipment

All candidates must have working knowledge of the following:

• Ability to read schematics and blueprints
• Ability to comprehend and interpret complex owner manuals
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and work instructions.
• Knowledge of current OSHA standards and guidelines.
• Strong mathematic skills (must be able to perform basic formulas)
• Measurement Devices (tapes, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Must be able to successfully use or pass the following safety equipment and training:

• Lock-Out/ Tag-Out
• Fall Protection
• Forklift
• Bloodborne Pathogen
• Electric Safety
• Ladder Safety
• Machine Guarding

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• ***FULL COMPANY BENEFITS STARTING THE 1ST OF THE MONTH FOLLOWING 30 DAYS OFEMPLOYMENT
• Paid weekly ($35.50 per hour base) ANNUAL RAISES PER CBA
