Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Laborer for a maintenance position in the Lake Charles, LA area. The Laborer will assist skilled workers and perform a variety of non-exempt duties, reporting to the Foreman.

Must follow procedures and safety requirements on site. Essential qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to follow instructions, and compliance with post-offer drug screening and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Compliance with client safety requirements (PPE, hard hat, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Digs, spreads and levels dirt and gravel.
• Lifts, carries, and holds building materials, tools, and supplies.
• Cleans tools, equipment, materials, and work areas; mixes or pours concrete or asphalt.
• Joins, wraps, and seals sections of pipe and performs non-machine tasks as directed.
• Works on one task at a time or transfers to other tasks as the project progresses.
