Job summary

WSU Tech in Wichita, KS seeks a knowledgeable Faculty, Industrial Maintenance to prepare the next generation of skilled technicians through classroom, lab, and hands-on learning, aligning with manufacturing and maintenance needs.

The ideal candidate mentors students, delivers instruction on mechanical/electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance, and collaborates with industry partners to support internships and workforce development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate degree in related field required.
Minimum five years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
Experience teaching or mentoring students is desirable.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging instruction in Industrial Maintenance using classroom, lab, and hands-on environments.
Teach mechanical/electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors/drives, PLCs, automation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, assessments, and lab activities aligned to program outcomes.
Maintain a safe, organized laboratory environment.
Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback to promote success.
Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and required documentation.
Collaborate with industry partners for internships and workforce needs.
Participate in curriculum development, accreditation activities, and professional development.
