Job summary

Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley is seeking a maintenance technician to keep facilities safe and compliant with current building codes, ADA, and CARF standards. Responsibilities include electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and preventive maintenance while maintaining tools and safety compliance.

The role requires ability to read safety instructions, possess good interpersonal skills, and work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

Job description

Summary
To maintain existing buildings and equipment in a manner consistent to current building codes, ADA and CARF requirements. To construct any additional fixtures and maintenance needs to above requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. (Electrical controls only) Install and maintain electrical, lighting and power circuits.
2. Install and maintain plumbing for light industrial usage.
3. Perform light carpentry, drywall and painting as needed.
4. Follow sound preventive maintenance for all above equipment.
5. Maintain adequate personal hand tools and inform supervisor when such are broken or lost.
6. Other duties may be assigned.
7. Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, HIPAA, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.

Education Requirements
High School education preferred but not required.

Experience Requirements
Two years’ experience in an industrial maintenance position preferred.
