Job summary

UNITED STATES SUGAR CORPORATION seeks a skilled maintenance technician for its United States Sugar Manufacturing site. This day shift role requires safely fabricating, installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing cane processing equipment, with overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays.

You will work independently or in teams, maintain CMMS records, read blueprints, and ensure equipment meets specifications.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years’ experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
Must be 18 years of age or older and have a good work record.
Ability to read, write and speak English to comprehend instructions and ensure safety.
Demonstrate the ability to perform mathematical calculations and measurements pertaining to the job.
Must read blueprints and layout work.
Basic knowledge of machinist tools, metals, and their properties.

Responsibilities

Fabricate, install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and repair cane processing equipment.
Maintain detailed maintenance records using CMMS.
Perform routine safety checks and recordkeeping for equipment.
Operate and set up machine tools to perform precision machining operations.
Read blueprints and determine methods or sequences of operations.
