Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Machinery Mechanic to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on industrial machinery to ensure smooth and safe operations. You will support the maintenance team by identifying mechanical issues and applying established procedures under supervision.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, disassembly, assembly, and inspection of electro-mechanical systems, with a strong focus on safety and documentation. A high school diploma and basic mechanical aptitude are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to understand, perform and retain various skill-related training and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Test electro-mechanical equipment to troubleshoot known or suspected problems.
• Disassemble electro-mechanical equipment noting parts identifications, configuration and condition.
• Repair or replace worn or defective mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies (bearings, gears, seals, motors, etc.).
• Retest reassembled equipment for proper output and operation.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Observe safety procedures and use proper protective gear.
