Job summary

Roberts Sinto Corporation in Grand Ledge, MI is seeking an Industrial Machine Builder to join our team. You will position machine bases and sub-assemblies for final assembly, using blueprints and precision measuring techniques.

You will work with engineers to resolve build issues and assist in run-off and shipping of equipment. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of manufacturing experience, with strong blueprint reading and hydraulics/pneumatics skills, and a High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and measuring to spec.

Responsibilities

• Position machine bases and stages sub-assemblies for final assembly.
• Assemble sub-assemblies using hand tools per engineering drawings.
• Troubleshoot equipment during build and run-off.
• Assist in installation of hydraulic equipment; bend piping and threading on piping.
• Disassemble and load equipment for shipping; assist in customer run-offs.

Roberts Sinto is currently seeking an Industrial Machine Builder to join our Team in Grand Ledge, MI

What You Will Do

General

Positions machine bases and stages sub-assemblies for final assembly.

• Coordinates machine base placement with other department space requirements and scheduling.
• Positions bases according to knowledge of unit being assembled and per blueprint drawings.
• Uses cranes and other devices to move and set materials.

Final assembles equipment per engineering drawings.

• Using hand tools, assembles together sub-assemblies to build entire machine.
• Confers with engineers to resolve problems encountered during build.

Troubleshoots newly assembled equipment.

• At various stages during assembly troubleshoots equipment to determine any unforeseen problems.
• Routinely practices safety for themselves and all other employees.

Assisting in the installation of hydraulic equipment

• Ability to bend piping and tubing, making hoses, and identifying fittings
• Complete threading on black piping.

Assists Engineering and Sales in run-off of new equipment for customers; disassemblesequipment for shipping.

• Assists in customer run-offs with assembly expertise.
• Disassembles equipment and loads to trucks.

What We Want From You

High School diploma or Equivalent-GED; and five-ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills

• Prior hydraulic and pneumatic experience strongly preferred.
• Welding experience
