Job summary

Vestis in New Jersey is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a Monday-Friday shift from 12:30pm to 9:00pm to support an industrial laundry facility. You will perform preventive maintenance on high-volume washers and dryers, troubleshoot equipment, and help ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical and basic electrical aptitude.
• Familiar with standard maintenance procedures, preventative maintenance schedules, and proper safety techniques.
• Ability to comprehend and perform training, written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all plant equipment including high volume industrial washers and/or dryers.
• Repairs, replaces equipment; performs basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work.
• Troubleshoots and solves technical issues by following manuals and schematics.
• Orders necessary parts, tools, and equipment per procurement policy.
• Maintains daily schedule control for maintenance and preventative tasks.
• Conducts waste solids removal from treatment process and performs wastewater-related maintenance.
• Maintains safe, clean work environment; follows safety and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
